Digital collage

For Hervé Perdriel, photography is first and foremost a material, a way to work in a plastic, pictorial manner, closer to a work on images than just a work on photography. Images, selected in various sources, are decentred, cropped, cut out, reconstituted. Scales and shades are modified, images are juxtaposed and remixed. Doing this, he writes another photographic language whose vocabulary is close to a painter one : composition, shape, colour, pattern, and also abstraction or narration.
