Mira Choukeir , 28 , Beirut-Lebanon. Painter, illustrator, comic artist. My collection is an improvisation and a visual representation that is honest to its moment. I am highly stimulated by the movement of sharp colors and rough strokes, that can translate my imagination into reality on different mediums whether canvas, paper, or pixels. By evolving my art form and experience with unique techniques going through trial and error. Over the past 5 years, that served me well, ensuring that the process still goes on in expanding my knowledge over my work. There is no stencil or pre-sketch for the collection. However, my background as an illustrator and a graphic designer, in addition to comics and typography enabled me to translate my humor while twisting the reality and harsh environment and made sense of the chaos, giving back to the audience more than just visual stimulus. The materials vary from each painting, but the main component used is acrylic. I also use oil colors and permanent markers to paint my vision, perspective, and my version of the naked truth. lastly , I appreciate you tireless efforts in pushing lebanese artists forward in those dire times and i would like to be part of your initiative and share my vision and concepts to a bigger audience and expand my skills as an artist with the help of your actions .
