Painting born in times of revolution, in times I couldn’t bare being away from Lebanon, times when women were fighting at the front lines to save their dignities, their families, their country. What I learned from this process, what this painting showed me is that when we choose to fight violence with violence, the result can only be defeat, but when we choose to open up our hearts and choose love as our main weapon, then colors will take over us and guide us towards what really matters. LOVE is the real revolution.
