This painting is a part of a series that i have been working on for 4 years. The series depicts stages of abuse, mental, physical and many more forms. In each painting as a viewer you can decipher the messages hidden in the art, each individual might find a piece to relate to, knowing that every human being has been touched by abuse in one form or the other . So the society painting represents the section related to the emotional as well as the physical abuse. Us as humans, we struggle to fit in, we adorn our bodies with clothes, trying to starve ourselves etc. trying to fit in. Society is ruthless constantly making humans seek approval, losing their dignity on the way.

This piece of work is on unstretched canvas, mainly painted with gold matte, accentuated with hues of turquoise and purples to bring out the message of the theme. Oil pastel was used as an added effect. The emphasis is on the figure standing in the center of the painting, the figure is the center of attention of the society, this human is different, this human is alone.
