This painting is a part of a series that i have been working on for 4 years. The series depicts stages of abuse, mental, physical and many more forms. In each painting as a viewer you can decipher the messages hidden in the art, each individual might find a piece to relate to, knowing that every human being has been touched by abuse in one form or the other. So the story of layla is a painting related to social workers abuse, to every woman in an abused household. Layla is trying to tell her story through her tears, her words and her actions.

I am Layla, I am you and you are me and we represent society. As a human we fight for the truth, for our freedom and for our basic needs. As a lebanese we fight for more, we lose more and we struggle more, yet we are fighters, we are believers and we are survivors. life goes on.
