This project examines the life experience of seven women dealing with chronic pain. It exposes in painterly forms a broader range of existential questions and creates poetic links between identity, experiences, and cultural stigma.

This project queries the notion of collapsing space and time into one image. The analog of the body is reshuffled as a trapped series of distortions, where the figures are dissolving into several fields and breaking up.The semitransparent background is an ellipsis that reveals nothing, but suggests the possibility of seeing other realms, while taking into consideration the emotional states that could be conveyed by not rendering the painful body as we see it, but as we experience it emotionally, hoping to find in these isolated caged figures empowering forms to contemplate.
