JPAG

Architect, Visual Artist and founder of JPAG Atelier.

Jean-Paul El Hachem is an architect, visual artist and founder of JPAG Atelier. Like many young dreamers in the field of architecture, once graduated he was faced with a choice to begin his career abroad or to stay in his home country Lebanon and make a name for himself, in a place where talent is often exported due to the lack of resources and economic stability. Jean-Paul put all his faith in his creativity and his intention in doing good and creating something inspiring. With the many political tensions surrounding Lebanon, the country was beginning to suffer from spillovers by the time Jean-Paul started his career. Opportunities were shrinking astronomically, as were firms and teams. With that, he decided to quit his job and founded JPAG Atelier: a group of creative minds, architects and artists operating within the field of architecture and digital art. JPAG’s success over the years has been a testament to the work ethic, with projects earning prestigious awards in visual art, films and architecture, often as the first and only Middle Eastern winner. These awards and references from the likes of Archdaily, DesignBoom, Architizer and Slanted magazine have given Jean Paul’s storytelling designs and visual arts the chance to reach different audiences of thousands of people all over the world. In parallel, Jean-Paul has been teaching in the Architecture and Design school at the Lebanese American University, where teaching has brought a sense of wholesomeness to his career, giving him another direct opportunity to inspire students and push for better designs and a more creative approach in architecture and visual art.
